Who we started
from…
ADL
The Anti Defamation
League has been one of the first US civil rights/human relations agency.
It was founded in 1913 to
stop the defamation of people and to secure justice and fair treatment to
all, and fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic
ideals and protects civil rights for all.
ADL/ A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute
In 1985 a “A World
of Difference®” campaign has been set up which has since then
given name to an institute.
Programs propose an
interactive formation aimed to design trainings and produce resources that provide the necessary skills,
knowledge and awareness to promote and sustain inclusive and respectful
school, work and home environments.
CEJI
Officially representing
ADL and A World Of Difference® institute in Europe, CEJI (Centre
Européen Juif d’Information) is an international non-profit
organization settled in Bruxelles which works to combat prejudice and
discrimination and to promote social cohesion through training, education,
dialogue and advocacy.
…and who we
are today
For more than ten years
we have been proposing our projects among the whole Nation both in scholastic
and working contest, dealing with diversity from several points of view.
Our interventions, through specific activities of prevention, are aimed to
contrast intolerance and represent a tool to prevent the diffusion of
discrimination. Schools of every grade are our primary field of action, and
we propose workshops for teachers, educators, administrators, students and
families.
Our analysis-of-needs preliminary
work allows us to introduce quality parameters for the interventions, in
order to make comparisons with foreign associations proposing similar
projects.
